Due to the ongoing division taking place in the greater United Methodist denomination, The Woodlands Methodist Church must choose a future affiliation based on core values and theological beliefs.

Pastors, lay leaders and members of the church are entering into a season of denominational discernment in preparation for a churchwide vote. Standing at the crossroads of change, the TWMC community is reflecting on 44 years of ministry rooted in traditional Wesleyan Christianity. Even greater, this community is seeking God’s leading and provision to boldly advance in a new era of ministry.

How Did We Get Here?

The United Methodist Church has never been truly united. For decades, church leaders have been distracted and depleted by disagreement regarding Christology, biblical authority and interpretation, sexual ethics, and the definition of marriage.
